Moody Coastline
While creating The North Coast, I kept visioning a similar piece but one more focused on the land.
Subtle touches of copper, like sunlight shining through the clouds, gently highlight the mountains and waves.
As I was painting, following the flow of the wax and letting the piece naturally become, it felt moody but not turbulent. I was afraid adding a ton of waves would move it in that direction so I restrained myself. By painting fewer waves, you can see them from a different perspective. In love!
Moody Coastlines is taken. She lives at my beautiful friend/neighbor/top collector’s home with 5 (or more!!) of my other paintings. Check out similar works here.
